The Invisible Man

 THE INVISIBLE MAN

A Summary:  (Some Plot Spoilers) This is a science fiction novel written by H.G. Wells. It tells the story of an invisible man, Griffin, a scientist who found a process to become invisible but cannot reverse it. Through this, he goes basically insane. He starts committing crimes while trying to research how to undo the process. He even commits murder. Only when he himself is caught and brought to justice for his actions (by death) is his body visible again.

Reviews: I have only ever read one other piece of Well's work, The Time Machine which I did not particularly enjoy, but I really enjoyed this one! It started off a little slow, and I wasn't entirely sure I would like the novel, but as it went along and we see this sort of descent into more and more madness, with his inability to survive on his own and the betrayal we see from the people he puts his trust into, which I enjoyed a lot. It also makes you think about whether or not it would be a good thing to be invisible (I have always thought I would like that superpower). I also watched the new movie that came out earlier this year that was essentially an updated 21st-century tech/sci-fi version, which I absolutely loved!!
