BIG LITTLE LIES
A summary: The story follows a group of moms all sending their kids back to school. It shows the friendship between two mothers: Madeline, one of the kindergarten moms, and Jane a young mother. They're polar opposites but it's an instant friendship. They also meet Celeste, a rich woman with who they become friends with also. It shows that their "perfect" lives aren't perfect at all and they all have little lies they tell to keep up appearances.
Review: I absolutely loved this book, and I can't wait to watch the TV series now, since I was waiting to watch the show until I read the book. I also loved that it showed how weird family dynamics can be, and how bad situations can happen to anyone. I thought it was good to see that even 'perfect' families aren't perfect at all. It dealt with a lot of topics including domestic violence, which I thought was good to see in novels to bring awareness of what we can do to help victims of domestic assault. I am also a fan of the drama and just liked seeing all the plots connect and the drama of everyone's lives.
